Good Show, this was only my 2nd Army training but my co-worker said it was the least painful Amry training he has attended (& he is a retired Army guy)!
What a fantastic show! Thank you so much Bernie for the laughs and the love. What a wonderful, emotionally charged event. You are a true gift Bernie. Thank God for you. Thanks again for everything.
Great show and great training! Great way to address a problem with a sense of humor, yet still hit home. Thanks for what you are doing for our service members and our civilians.

Great session this morning, Mr. McGrenahan! After 28 years associated with the U.S. Army, this was definitively the best “mandatory fun” I’ve experienced, & some darn good training to boot! Thanks for opening up to us, making us laugh, and making us think about some very sensitive topics. Good luck & God bless!
Bernie, You Killed it this morning!!!!! Great Show thanks for all of the stories and life lessons.
Your show was awesome! So glad the army is taking the initiative in changing their “death by power point” mandatory trainings. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for bringing your life to our training. And a big ‘Hello’ to your brother from the home of Army Aviation, safe travels.
Bernie!! Bernie!! (Whispers) Bernie.. Saw your show this morning and it was very inspiring and appreciated your story and all its life lessons. Thank you for sharing them, have a great day.
Bernie great show, a great way to spin from PowerPoint to learn through laughter!
Fantastic Show / Class … Best I have had in my 40+ Years of federal service …. TY for sharing your experiences in life …. object lessons are much better learned when they come from one that has experienced them … TYSVM Bernie.

Finally the ARMY got it right, and had an outstanding mandatory class. But it couldn’t have been done without Bernie. Thank you for the laughs and for sharing your experiences in life. Outstanding job. Thank you!!!!!!!

I attended your 1000 training and I must admit that I went in expecting “Death by PowerPoint” as usual. However, I found your presentation refreshing and touching all at once. Thank you for sharing your life experiences with Fort Rucker.
Great show, wish you luck!
!! WOW !! What a refreshing approach to training. 1st time I’ve enjoyed attending mandatory training in almost 40 yrs of federal service. Awesome, take care and God Bless……by the way I’m seriously thinking about suing my Mom 🙂

Great show and a lot of Soldiers can, do and will relate with your message! Thank you for being such a staunch supporter of the great men and women who wear the uniform and support us!
Outstanding show. I had the privilege of seeing your show today, and it was not what I expected. I want to thank you for sharing your personal experiences. I know that it is hard to go through that.
This training brought it to our level and made it interesting. I heard soldiers talking about the show at 1700 today and you could tell that it stuck with them. Keep it up, and I thank you for the service that you have provided to us today (10 September)
Thanks for the great show. Your personal experiences were some of the most relevant “mandatory training” I’ve ever received. Thank you for sharing and Godspeed to a fellow New Yorker.

Amazing show and message… by far the best training and entertainment i have received in the Army
Awsome show, right balance of humor and heart tugging truth to bring your message across. Most thought provoking message I’ve heard in a while.
it was more than training, it was an experience.
Hands down the best training format I have ever been “required” to attend!
Attended your show today Fort Rucker very good show. Keep doing what you do.
Great show and riveting stories: thank you for sharing. Often when an actor performs you cannot own the story, but in this case the delivery and grace will plant those images in the mind.
Great show. Great training. Thank you for sharing your stories to help educate our soldiers and families.
Bernie, You Killed It! Very powerful and inspiring. The BEST mandatory training ever! Thank you!
That was the best training!!! I enjoyed the comedy part but also the personal story you shared! Thank you!
Great job today! By far the best one we have had yet!
Great message that you delivered today!

You were great today! 😀
I laughed so hard I cried!! And then I cried for real!! What a moving and touching story.
Absolutely the very best MANDATORY training on suicide awareness and alcohol/drug abuse. Your program is insightful, meaningful, and leaves a lasting impression. Thanks for caring enough to share your story with us. Hope the Army brings you back next year….you definitely killed us.
Really enjoyed your show this morning. You started by making me laugh then to tears and back to laughter. Awsesome! There should be more training done in this manner. I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers. God Bless.

Great show! Thanks for making mandatory training enjoyable. I’ll be looking out for your act on TV.
Bernie, I just attended your show on Fort Rucker, and it was one of the best training events that I have attended in 20 years of Service. Thank you for sharing such a poignant story with us. Now this is how you capture a Soldier’s attention to a subject!
I saw your show here at Ft Rucker. Sir, I laughed and then shed tears for your loss and then laughed again. Your show was very moving and you are a true professional.
Thanks for being real–the combo of laughs, family love and hard life lessons made an important message unforgetable. We need more of this! God bless!
Outfreakinstanding show brother!!! Way to shift the paradigm in how we approach this very real epidemic that plagues our friends and families daily. Very insightful and heartfelt, may God continue to give you the strength and tenacity it takes to do what you love.
Keep up the good work and all the best to you and your lovely family.
Strength & Honor
Really enjoyed the show. Powerful story complimented some really funny comedy.
We finally got one right. Joy and pain are constant in military life and your very personal reflection of loss and revival is easy for us to understand. Your ability to deliver it with such a range of emotion kept everyone focused and your message was clear. Sorry for your losses, happy for your gains; thank you for sharing your story.
Great show today. That was the best mandatory training session I have been required to attend. I was moved on several occasions when you told your story. Great job of 25 years of sobriety. Looking forward to the next one. Thank you very much.
You are AMAZING. Today I learned a lot from your experiences. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. The best mandatory training ever. THANK YOU!!!!!
Wow . . . what an experience! I didn’t expect the impact to be so strong. Thanks for caring Bernie. You make a difference!
Great show at Ft Rucker this morning.
Your show was awsome! was at the 0800 show on 10 Sept @ Fort Rucker. Thanks for all you do!
I have to say your show was the best ASAP/Suicide training I’ve been subjected to in the last 17 years. Look forward to the next one.
What a show! You have one heck of a story to tell the world. What most I took out of it is that there can be LIFE, Hope, and Happiness after horrible tragedies! It is a choice. Keep it up!
Your show today at the Ft Rucker theater was funny, serious, touching, and meaningful. I too lost a Sister to alcohol and “suspected” suicide (single vehicle auto accident) in 1995. It took great courage for you to share this with the audience and I am not sure that I could have done the same thing. As a retired Soldier and now a DoD Civilian, I want to thank you for all you do for the Soldiers, Family members and Civilians in the DoD. I wish you continued success in all your endeavors. Stay “Army Strong!”
Fantastic “training” Thanks for making a difference in this world. Hope to see you next year!
I SO enjoyed your show. I both cried tears of laughter and tears of sorrow. Then back to tears of laughter. Thank you so much for sharing both your gift of laughter and of your personal life. I wish for two things: 1) That your brother Shawn & your mother could attend one of your presentations; and 2) That Scott could see you know. Hope to see you again!
Sorry, I forgot to include my name! 🙂

Thank you Bernie, for sharing your own personal story through humor. This was by far the best “mandatory/voluntold” training I’ve ever received. Keep up the good work!
Great show traing event kept the audience’s attention way better than PowerPoint. Truly kept everyone entertained and listening looking forward to the next training event.
Great Show!
Bernie, I did not liked when you said: “You had not done anything in your life, during your younger years”, “You Did” you shared your life stories with us at Fort Rucker, maybe you saved a life today. Thanks for your time. Great Show!
Hello Bernie! Thanks for a great show. At one point, I laugh so hard I thought I was going to pee..than came the tears. You have an amazing story.
Sending butterflies to Scott, High Fives to Sean and hugs to your mom. You have made them proud.
