  • I am very excited to be here in Killeen TX  this week. Fort Hood is now the largest active duty armored post in the U.S. Armed Services. It is home to two full divisions, 1st Cavalry Division and 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized).
  • It also supports 12 additional units.  There are about 41,000 soldiers who work on Fort Hood.
  • The soldiers of Fort Hood are infantrymen, cavalrymen, and tankers.  They are engineers, mechanics and health care professionals.  They are the life of Fort Hood.  Their training gives Fort Hood its purpose just as Camp Hood soldiers did 60 years ago.  They are part of what has made Fort Hood “The Great Place” for six decades.
    I hope you enjoyed the program today, took home a few laughs and continue to stay Army strong, focused, and RESILIENT!

    11 Sep 13, I just wanted to say I retired after 22 years in the military and now I have 10 years working for the military. I have been blown up three times and had four friends commit suicide. I have attended year’s worth of prevention classes on alcohol and drug abuse and suicide prevention but I never have received the real massage like I did yesterday, 11 Sep 13. Bernie made us laugh so much I almost fell of my seat to drawing tears from us with his stories of his friends and family. But the way Bernie presented his comedy act he talked about his problems but it made us think about our own problems. I left the show really thinking about the strong messages Bernie presented instead of falling asleep like every other year we have to go to these things. It’s time to do something about my problems, thanks Bernie.

  32. Dean

    I just want to say that your show was spot on. It was certainly not what I was expecting, and I consider myself fortunate to have been in the audience while you were in town. You delivered your message with impact and a lot of heart, so unlike the impersonal robots we’re used to hearing. You’re really making a difference out there.

    Keep up the strong work.

  33. Kim

    Thank you so much for the inspiring show – the laughs and the message! I pray your message resonated with everyone else in the audience and inspired them to either look in the mirror or confront loved ones headed down dangerous paths. I know it sure did for me! Many thanks; this opportunity was priceless.

  34. Matthew Navarro

  37. Teresa Gambrel

    Thank you for one of the best trainings I have ever attended. Your comedy skit is a great and innovative way to address some very important issues to our Soldiers. I think your relationship with your brother today is wonderful. I worked for Special Olympics in Hamilton County Ohio for three years and it was the most amazing job. Our athletes taught me so much about courage and life. The smiles on all their faces are priceless….. Enjoy him.

    ~~~ What a great thing you do!~~~
    I think your message sunk into many hearts today. It was the best… “Mandatory comedy show” I’ve had the pleasure of attending. Thanks for what you do to help keep the Armed Forces resilient.
    Just wanted you to know that you are very funny, talented, very sincere, and your show was amazing. I just wanted to say GOD bless you and your family and thank you for sharing your personal tragedies with us. It was an honor to shake your hand.
