I have sat through many mandatory training sessions, all of which hoped to reach the audience with the message, but this is the first “training” in which the message was received loud and clear! Thank you for sharing your time and personal life with us.

Bernie, you were awesome I have not laughed that hard in a long time, u brought me to tears cause I was laughing so hard. I also think its really cool that u shared your story like that and respect you for it and the choice you made, some people have to learn the hard way, but hopefully your message got to people so they don’t have to learn the hard way. Again your show KILLED, and it was the best training EVER!!!

Your show is brilliant in bringing the whole room into you and then to tell us your story. You have truly been through hard times but you still have ended out on top. 24 years sober and staying strong, I am proud of you and what you are doing. If your message reaches at least one person in your life you will be a big success, and i believe that by far you have saved more than one person. Bernie, thanks for a good show. I think the way you opened up the crowd a bit with comedy definitely made it a lot more personal. By the time you got to the serious stuff, I felt there was a connection that would not be there with the standard power point. Definitely the best mandatory training I’ve ever been to!

I have to be honest, I love and respect what you are doing with your life now but I do have to admit that I felt a little weird and lost some respect for you knowing how many DUI’s you had. I lost a very good friend to a drunk driver and because of that I have never actually drank before and have no respect to those who abuse it. With all that said, I say agian, I do respect what you are doing now with your life and I can see why your brother loves you so much. Thank you for what you do now.

I agree with you. I lost respect for myself back then. Alcoholics and high-risk drinkers do not respect themselves or those around them and constantly make bad choices by putting the safety of other innocent lives at risk by drinking and driving. I am working hard now, to share my bad choices and the results of those actions, in hopes of Sailors and Marines not doing the same. I am sorry for the loss of your friend.
