I had a blast today with all of you Sailors and Marines here at NAS Meridian,MS. Thank you for coming! Both Trainings were fantastic. Thank you OPNAV & NAS Meridian for hosting my ‘Happy Hour’ Tour. We appreciate all that you do. My hat is off to you amazing Sailors and Marines. You are why our Freedom is possible. We appreciate the sacrafice and service to our Nation. Bernie, thank you for coming and performing for us a few days ago at NAS Meridian. We really had some great laughs thanks to you that morning! My favorite jokes, for some reason, were the ones about men and grocery shopping (I was totally picturing my husband at a supermarket, standing in the checkout line and holding a melon:). Your message of sobriety is definitely an important one and I applaud your efforts in trying to keep young people like us away from “alcohol troubles”. I was also greatly moved when I was listening to you talking about your family. There was so much honesty and pain, but also love and hope in your words! It made me realize, once again, how lucky I am to have my loved ones and that I should appreciate them much more than I do. Thanks again for lightening up our morning and for inspiring us in so many different ways!
